Futura Typographic Posters
Typographical posters I created based on the typeface Futura, designed by Paul Renner in 1927. Although Renner was not a member of the Bauhaus, he did share many ideologies in common with the Bauhaus. Renner was brought up to have a very German sense of leadership, duty and responsibility, and that a modern typeface should express modern models rather than be a revival of a previous design. Renner avoided creating any non-essential elements while designing Futura, making use of geometric proportions with no serifs. Futura’s sharp, clean forms reflect the appearance of efficiency and forwardness even today.
